Good morning, everyone. Welcome to my class. It's really good to have you here. Are you ready for the class? Okay, let's have fun together. Look at this day. It's my niece Linda's birthday. She's also a middle school student, just like you. I'm going to her party on Sunday. But the problem is I don't know what presents to buy for her. Could you please give me some advice? You please.

      I choose blame box.

      Blind box. Oh, why?

Because it's popular and it's very super surprise too.

Thank you. What a brilliant idea. Blind boxes are often popular among students, right? I like it. What about others? You please? Beautiful pants. Why? Because every students like that. Yeah, thank you. Students always use pens, right? That's also a good present. What about others? You please.

Sounds great. All the girls like beautiful dresses. Anything else? Okay, you please.

      I found a.

      Door a door why.

Because the door is very cute.

Yeah what a cute present Linda will like it thank you so much okay class you have so many good ideas but which one should i choose a doll. Other things. Oh, it's a little hard for me. In fact, it's always hard for me to choose presents for my family and friends. Is there a good way to help? Today we'll read a passage about choosing presents. Maybe we can get some help from it. Okay, cars. Look at the passage. What's the title? Very good. Now you read it very quickly, but silently, and find out what the passage mainly writes about. Here are three options for you who can read. A girl, please read. Microphone a, a, please read. Try to read the options first. A. Yeah, favorite presents. Okay, what's wrong? E see habits. Do you know habits? Yeah, that things people do very often, right? Clear. Go. If you know the answer, can show me your hands. Sit down, please. Go read the passage and find out the answer.

Yeah, if you know the answer, you can show me your hands.

Okay, class, which one do you choose? Which one do you please?

      I choose C. Do you.

Agree with him? Yes, very good. I agree too. It's about different peoples likes and habits. How did you find their likes in the passage? Can you give me an example?

Expect example, diamonds, grandparents, likes to stay healthy.

Very good. Another one, are you please?

      Duming's mother likes chocolate, but.

So we can see many like here, right? Like is a keyword. What about their habits? Are there any keywords to help you? Give me an example. Others maybe have a try. You can do it, girl. It's a microphone.

Dama's grandparents sometimes wear t shirts. Very.

Good. What's the keyword? Sometimes excellent. Another example. Have a try, you please.

But she doesn't often buy any.

So we can see. Sit down, please. A lot of adverbs of frequency, right? Let's read them together. Always want to. Always, usually, often, sometimes, never. Very good. They are used when we talk about people's habits. Okay, so who are the different people in the passage? Last girl, you please.

Devin's grandparents, Devin's mother, Betty's cousin, Tony's sister, and Linlin's aunt and uncle.

Very good girl. Where did you find them?

Where did you find the people?

In the first sentence in the passage?

Yeah, so clever. They are at the beginning, right? So we can see in this passage, different paragraphs talk about different people's likes and habits. Now, think it over. The title is Choosing Birthday Presents. Why does the writer writes so much about people's likes and habits? Have a try. Just a guess. Why?

Because if the writer knows their habits, they can, the writer can buy the gifts.

For them. Do you agree with her? She means the likes and habits can help us choose good presence for them. Is that a good way? Maybe let's have a try together. First, we need to find out these people's likes and habits. What do Dumin's grandparents like?

You, please. Parents. Likes to stay.

Healthy. Very good. What about their habits?

He gets some exercise and sometimes wear t shirts.

Good. So every day they get some exercise. Can you give me an example of exercise? Such as exercise? What is the exercise? Such as? Maybe have a try. Do you do exercise? Yes. What do you do? I often.

      Play badminton.

I badminton? That's a kind of exercise. What else? Maybe?

      I often play football.

Yeah, that's also a kind of exercise. So people get exercise to stay healthy. Good. And when they get exercise, do they wear t shirts every day? No, just maybe once a week. Are teachers good for doing sports? Yes. Now it's your turn. Try to find out the other people's likes and habits. Complete the table on your worksheet. Clear, go.

      You're so quick.

Okay, class, I see some of you have underlined in your passage right now. Let's check the answers together. Look, these are the answers of one of my students in Dalian about Duming's mother. Do you agree? Anything different with from yours?

Something different, girl, have a try.

I don't agree. The never buys any. Yeah, because in the passage we can see she doesn't often buy any.

Very good. That's not often mean never. No, it means sometimes. Why doesn't she often buy chocolate? She lacks us.

      Because it isn't very healthy.

Yeah, maybe too much. It's bad for her health. Sometimes she can eat a little. Anything else? No. Oh, what about others? What kind of clothes? Cheap ones or. And look at your passage. Cheap ones are expensive ones. Diamonds. Grandmother always.

      Buys expensive.

Clothes. Very good. What are the expensive clothes she has got? What are the expensive clothes? Okay, you girl.

She has got 11 silk scarves, 20 dresses, and a lot of shoes.

      You please have a try.

I don't agree about the go to football, usually go to football matches at weekends. In the passage, we can see linlin is aunt and uncle like football, but they don't go to football matches. They usually watch football on television at weekends.

Very good. And can you guess, why don't they go outside to watch the matches?

Maybe the tickets are very expensive.

Yeah, good guessing. Any other reasons you please?

      Maybe the football matches is.

Too far. Yeah, too far from their home, right? Staying at home and watching TV are much cheaper and easier, right? Yeah, very good. So have you got all the right answers? Yes. Now, suppose you were Domine, could you introduce your grandparents likes and habits to us? Yeah, with the help of the big table, you can do it. Try. Have a try.

Very good. He use. So here, attention, because dislike and this habit have a very close relationship, right? So later when you talk, you can also use so and or but to talk about some likes and the habits together. Clear? Yeah, try to introduce your mother. You please played as a open. I mean, okay. No, it's close and nice work. Now, suppose you're Betty, have a try. Your cousin, you.

Please. Betty's cousin likes reading and she reads a lot of books and magazines and she often goes to the cinema, but she never watches sport.

Very good. Okay, next one. Suppose you were Tony, introduce your sister. Have.

A try. Tony's sister likes music and she often buys CDs of her favorite songs. She likes going to concerts, too, but she doesn't often go to the concert because the tickets are always be expense.

Yeah, really good. Okay, last one. Let's say it together. Okay, one, two leanings. Aunt and uncle like football, but they don't go to football matches. They usually watch TV weekends. They always watch AC Milan, but sometimes watch Manchester United. Okay, do you know AC Milan and Manchester United? Yeah, two very famous football clubs, right? Which one do they like better? I see, Milan. Why? Because they together always watch. You're so clever. Okay, boys and girls, you have known about their likes and habits. Very good. And this one scarf, this one football. Yeah, maybe a box of chocolates.

When you choose presents, you can choose from them. You can also have your own ideas. Clear? We'll choose the presence in groups. Group 1, you choose for Daming's grandparents. Group 2, Daming's mother. Group 3, Betty's cousin. Group 4, Tony sister. And Group 5, Lin's aunt and uncle.

Okay, each group you can choose more than one present and tell me the reasons later. You need to answer me in this way. Attention. For example, I think Daming can choose blah blah for their grandparents because day here you need to talk about their likes. Good. And here is about their habits. Do you understand? Go push for present service.

Okay, boys and girls, let's talk about the presents together. Group 1, what's your idea?

Microphone, please. I think dummies, grandparents can choose t shirts for them because they likes to stay healthy and they sometimes wear t shirts.

      Cuz it isn't very.

Healthy. Yeah, so when we choose presents, we need to think about if the present is healthy enough, right? Anything else? Any other presents for dummy's mother, your group, who wants to try? Are you okay?

I think dummings, I think dummy can choose a scarf and a dress. I ask a soccer scar dress for Dummy's mother because why she likes she likes going shopping and she always buys.

Expensive clothes. So you mean expensive dress or scarf, right? Yes. Do you agree with him? If you were dummy, will you buy the expensive scarf or dress for your mother? Yes. Anyway, if you have enough money, that's a good present. Okay, yeah, thank you. But we also need to think about the price. Not all the presents are expensive, right? Okay, group 3, what's your idea?

I think Betty choose books and magazines for her cousin because she is, because she likes reading and read and reads a lot of books and magazines.

Books or magazines. Do you agree with her? Yes or no? Yes. Okay. Louder. Thank you. What else? Any other presents? You continue.

And she likes going to concerts. Yeah. Do you agree? A concert ticket. Yes if you have enough money right another present.

I think Tony can. Choose her, can choose a CD for her, for his sister, because she likes music and.

      She always, and she buys.

      She always buys CDs.

She always bets CDs of her favorite songs. Very good CD. Do you agree? Is it a good present? Okay, last group.

I think I have three ideas. First one, we can buy a football for Lin, for linlings on an uncle because they like football matches. The second was we maybe we can buy.

A picture of their favorite team. Very good. Why?

And the third one was, if we have enough money, maybe we can buy a ticket of the football matches.

Do you agree? Ticket? A football ticket. Do they often go to football tickets? Do they often go to football matches? Sorry? No. Maybe they think it takes a lot of time, right? Yeah, but thank you so much. Okay, boys and girls, you have done a very good job. And I think you may have known a good way to choose presents, right? So what is the good way? We need to think about people's likes and habits, right? And maybe we need to think about the price. If it is healthy and if people need it, and then we can choose a good present for our family of friends. Right now let's go back to my problem. What present should I choose for Linda? What should you know first? What should you know.

Linda's like and her habit? Do you.

Agree with her? Yeah, it's very necessary, right? So what do you want to know?

I want to know what does she often do?

Okay, that's a very good question. But when I answer, you need to listen very carefully because later you have two working groups. Choose one present and tell me the reasons with Linda's likes and habits clear? Yeah, let me think it over. She likes doing a lot of things. She likes playing basketball very much. Are you please? Anything you want to know.

I think you can choose a basketball for.

Her. Yeah, you don't want to know anything. Okay, sit down, please. Who wants to know anything about Linda's likes and habits? You please.

I think. And Choo, I think you can choose.

      Extra asking time.

      Basketball matches, tickets.

You mean that she often go to basketball matches? Yes, she sometimes goes to basketball matches. Anything you want to know, does she often wear stresses? Yes, she sometimes wears dresses when she doesn't go to school, but she really likes beautiful dresses. Thank you. Okay.

What does she often wear when she plays basketball?

She often wears t shirts and sports clothes. Anything else you want to know? You please.

If she like comic books or cartoons, I want ask what's her favorite character in the comic book or the cartoon?

      Favorite.

      Person? Favorite character.

A fumes. She doesn't often go to the cinema. Sorry, you please. Of the , Lucy. Yes, she does. She always listen. No, she never listens to CD. She listens to music on her phone and she always wear the headphones. Okay. Can you choose the present now? Talk about it in groups and tell me the reasons. Begin. Yeah, who can choose a present for her?

We'll have a try. Oh, have a basketball. Yeah, she likes because she likes basketball. So she maybe she likes basketball magazine. And she often reads. Oh, magazine is good. That's a good present. Thank you. What about others? Anything else you want to choose for her? I will try. Oh, you can talk about in groups. If you don't have the ideas, think about my answers about her likes and habits. She likes dresses. Yeah, she likes listening to music, anything. Okay, are you please? She like, does she cake? Oh, but she doesn't often eat sweet food, maybe.

      Does she like ice cream?

Yes, ice cream is good, but she doesn't eat much because it's not very healthy. You please.

Who is she favorite basketball player?

Kobe. Okay, class, maybe I have idea. Address in Hangzhou. May be a good present if you have more good ideas, you can write to me. This is my email address. Okay, now this is your homework. Last part for you. So much for today, boys and girls. Yeah, all of you have a good performance. Big hands for yourselves. Yeah, thank you so much. Goodbye, everyone.

Now, the first one is, what are the student, where are the students going? we are the students going。

Now, the second is, where are the students now?

第三个问题, how can the students get there?

这就今天 choose the presence 一个核心的东西就是我们说 where are my students?

We just rate the paragraph or passage and know more about how to choose the.

好,我想了解一下这个题目是 chosen the best presents,而这篇文章是否真正在讲 chose the best presents?

      Seems how to choose the.

Should we consider when choosing the best.

What is the structure of the H paragraph and what's the purpose of this paragraph?
